FETAC Level 6 Boundary Management

What are the aims of the FETAC Level 6 Boundary Management Course?

Participants will gain an understanding of boundary management and apply this knowledge in the workplace. The course gives the participant:

  • An understanding of how to establish and maintain appropriate boundaries
  • An understanding of the physical and psychological boundaries that exist
  • An insight into the concept of ethics and confidentiality and an understanding of ethical behaviours
  • An awareness of the legislation governing confidentiality
  • An understanding of the concept of team, the value of teamwork and recognising the challenges that teams can face 

Who should participate on the FETAC level 6 Boundary Management Course?

This course is suitable for all professionals that work with other people within an organisation and with external parties such as clients, service users, trainees, etc.
Learners do not need a previous formal qualification but will be able to fluently read, draft, prepare and understand complex information, including quantitative information, that is personally relevant and reflecting a broad knowledge base. Learners will be able to solve problems well, independently and as part of a range of different groups, accepting personal responsibility for the quality of outcome.

What is the course duration and is the course assessed?

The course runs over 3 days and is assessed through the production of a portfolio of evidence comprising of 3 pieces of assessment, which will require personal learning, reflection and study.

How much does the course cost and what resources are provided?

The cost of the course is €799.00 per participant. This includes expert tuition over 3 days, course materials, FETAC administration, lunch and refreshments. In addition learners are provided with ongoing support and a range of accommodations are possible, according to specific need.
