What are the aims of the FETAC Level 6 Train the Trainer Course?
Participants will gain skills and knowledge which will enable them to run a successful training course. Learners who successfully complete this module will:
- Understand the concepts of training and education.
- Demonstrate an understanding of the role of the trainer.
- Have the skills to carry out a training needs analysis and design a training programme accordingly.
- Demonstrate an understanding of what is involved in preparation for training delivery.
- Demonstrate the skills necessary to carry out a training session and assessment.
- Evaluate training in a meaningful manner.
Who should participate on the FETAC Level 6 Train the Trainer Course?
New or inexperienced trainers who want to learn practical skills and useful tips to run their own successful training sessions. This course is also ideal for further and higher education professionals. This is a highly practical programme where participants will be required to work independently as well as in groups with the support of the tutor.

What is the course duration and is the course assessed?
The course runs over 4 days and is assessed through the production of a portfolio of evidence comprising of an assignment and skills demonstrations, which will require personal learning, reflection and study.
How much does the course cost and what resources are provided?
The cost of the course is €799.00 per participant. This includes expert tuition over 4 days, course materials, FETAC administration, lunch and refreshments. In addition learners are provided with ongoing support and a range of accommodations are possible, according to specific need.
