Specific Learning Difficulties
What are the aims of the Specific Learning Difficulties Course?
Participants will gain an understanding and awareness of specific learning difficulties. The course gives the participant:
- Information on the four main specific learning difficulties; Dyspraxia, Dyslexia, Asperger’s Syndrome and Attention Deficit (Hyperactivity) Disorder (ADD/ADHD).
- Practical strategies that address difficulties associated with specific learning difficulties.
- Ability to identify learning channels and preferences/styles.
- Use the knowledge they have acquired to accommodate individuals with SpLD’s.
Reasons to participate in the Course:
- Gain an understanding of the types of issues and difficulties facing a person with an SpLD.
- Increase your knowledge of the symptoms of SpLDs.
- Be able to develop strategies to manage SpLDs.
- Discuss case studies, ask questions and share experiences in an interactive environment.
- Understand classroom and workplace difficulties.
- Understand what it feels like to have an SpLD.

This course will be equally interesting to teachers, students in higher education, professionals and parents.
What is the course duration?
The course is one day in duration and is conducted as a workshop. Active participation on the course is encouraged to maximise learning opportunities and to enable participants to share and learn from prior experiences.
How much does the course cost and what resources are provided?
The cost of the course is €249.00 per participant. This includes expert tuition, course materials, learner support, lunch and refreshments. Please contact us for in-house costs.
