What are the aims of the Mental Health Awareness Course?
Participants will gain an understanding and awareness of mental health. At the end of the training programme participants will:
- Have a theoretical understanding of the background associated with mental health issues.
- Be aware of the moral, ethical and legal considerations associated with mental health.
- Be familiar with theories and types of mental illness.
- Understand the positive and negative factors which may affect your mental health.
- Apply this knowledge in the workplace and everyday life.
- Appreciate various treatment approaches.

This course is suitable for anyone with an interest in understanding more about mental health.
What is the course duration?
The course is one day in duration and is conducted as a workshop. Active participation on the course is encouraged to maximise learning opportunities and to enable participants to share and learn from prior experiences.
How much does the course cost and what resources are provided?
The cost of the course is €249.00 per participant. This includes expert tuition, course materials, learner support, lunch and refreshments. Please contact us for in-house costs.
