Our Support Services

Whatever your circumstances – whether you are long-term unemployed, have an illness or a disability – National Learning Network can help you overcome obstacles and move forward with your career and your life.

We provide a wide range of vocational training and education programmes, funded by SOLAS, as well as rehabilitative training, funded by the HSE.

Our range of innovative courses and programmes include Quest, a ground-breaking service in Galway that is helping people to rebuild their lives following a brain injury, and Stepping Out, a programme based in Athlone, Co. Westmeath which is specifically designed to assist people from the Midlands region who have been to prison or are on Probation to move forward with their lives.

We also offer a number of programmes under the Disability Activation Project managed by Pobal and jointly funded by the European Social Fund and the Department of Social Protection.

These programmes include:

  • TAP (Transition Action Planning) - a free support initiative in Letterkenny, Donegal - the first of its kind in Ireland - for young people with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or with an intellectual disability with autistic tendencies.
  • PEP (Personal Employment Pathway) - a free job-skills programme which supports people with disabilities in the midlands region to develop a progression plan and explore new opportunities.
