Enables learners to develop the knowledge, skills & attributes necessary to obtain & retain employment in an office environment or to progress to further training & education.
Catering & Culinary Skills
Enables learners to develop the knowledge & skills required to obtain & retain employment in the Hospitality Sector or to progress further training & education.
Directions
Provide learners with foundation level personal, social & work related skills enabling them to progress to greater levels of independence & community integration. The course also aims to support & facilitate learners to explore their options & to progress to further education, training or employment.
Employer Based Training
A flexible course that enables learners to acquire practical skills with a host company in a skill area of their choice. The course is a combination of on-thejob & in-centre training. The EBT co-ordinator will support both learner & employer.
Focus
For people experiencing mental ill health who wish to enhance their physical & mental well-being through personal development, community integration & vocational orientation. The course supports learners in clarifying their future options using a range of centre & community based activities.
Introductory Skills Training
Designed to enable learners to develop the knowledge, skills & attitudes necessary to make realistic vocational choices for training, or employment, based on their own needs & strengths. Use a range of Personal Effectiveness & Self-Advocacy Skills which will enable them to be assertive, to understand rights & make informed decisions.
IT by Distance Learning
A flexible course that enables learners who cannot access a training centre to gain an information technology qualification from their own home. Learners are supplied with appropriate home study materials & equipment. This is supported by home visits & group meetings.
Retail Sales
Designed to enable learners to develop the knowledge, skills & attitudes necessary to obtain & retain employment in the retail sector e.g. Sales Assistants.
Sporting Chance
A ground-breaking new national initiative which has been specifically developed to assist people with disabilities, & others who are marginalised, to build careers as future coaches, leaders & managers in the sports & leisure industry or progress onto further training & education in this field.
Woodwork Multi Skills
Designed to enable learners to develop the knowledge, skills & attitudes necessary to obtain & retain employment in woodwork & related industries or progress to formal apprenticeship programmes.
