Designed to provide students with
opportunities to learn the skills,
knowledge & attitudes needed to
develop personal effectiveness &
self-advocacy skills, become more
independent in social & vocational
situations, operate in a supported
community situation and progress
onto further training or education.
Employer Based Training enables students to acquire practical skills with a host company in the area of their choice. The programme is a combination of on-the-job and in-centre training 60% on-the-job and 40% in-centre. The Employer Based Training instructor supports both the student and the employer. Students choose a vocational training area that interests and suits them and the Employer Based Training instructor finds a suitable Host Company training placement within the vocational area and locality identified by the student.
Designed for those who would like an opportunity to make a new beginning & start a new career after a period out of the workforce. It provides an opportunity to explore vocational opportunities in order to progress to further education and/or employment.
This programme enables learners to acquire skills necessary to work in an office related environment. The programme is a combination of on-the-job and in-centre training. The Instructor/s and support staff supports the learner through the programme with identified needs and training that can be achieved during the course to enable the learner achieve a Major Award in Information & Communication Technology Skills at Level 4 on the National Framework of Qualifications. Ideally the learner will be placed with an employer for at least 1 day a week after the initial induction period.
