Our courses are tailored to each student's needs, to help them to build their confidence while getting practical job-seeking skills to help them get a job or go on to further training.

Courses in this Centre
This training programme is designed to offer learners an opportunity to explore personal, social and vocational skills and includes a high level of integration into the local community. Underpinning this programme is New Directions, a HSE person centred service for adults with disabilities. Modules on offer are delivered in a flexible manner and include activities and methods based on a cross modular approach. Module Codes M1 – M12 offer learners an opportunity to achieve QQI Level 3 Certification leading to a Major Award in Employability Skills (as appropriate)
This programme enables learners to acquire skills necessary to work in an office related environment. The programme is a combination of on-the-job and in-centre training. The Instructor/s and support staff supports the learner through the programme with identified needs and training that can be achieved during the course to enable the learner achieve a Major Award in Office Skills at Level 4 on the National Framework of Qualifications. Ideally the learner will be placed with an employer for at least 1 day a week after the initial induction period. Learners move through the programme at a pace which is suited to their individual needs and abilities. Their progress through the programme will be planned with each individual through the Individual Action Planning (IAP) and Monthly Review processes. Skills are acquired through a combination of practical demonstration, instruction, supervised practice, e-learning etc.
Employer Based Training enables learners to acquire vocational skills with a host company in the vocational area of their choice. The programme is a combination of on-the-job and in-centre training, 60% on-the-job and 40% in-centre. The Employer Based Training Co-ordinator supports both the learner and the employer. Learners choose a training area that interests and suits them and the Employer Based Training Co-ordinator finds a suitable Host Company training placement within the area and locality identified by the learner.
The programme is designed for people who would like an opportunity to make a new beginning and start a new career after a period out of the workforce. It provides learners with an opportunity to explore employment and education opportunities. Learners progress through the programme at a pace which is suited to their individual abilities. Skills will be acquired using a variety of teaching and learning methods. Learners will be encouraged to work towards achieving a range of QQI modules.
